The spice farms is a must visit place for tourists touring the state. The Spice Gardens boast of a serene and relaxed atmosphere with an aroma of a varied spices. Guests are greeted warmly with a home made welcome drink. The aroma of spices grown there - Nutmeg, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Vanilla, Betel nut, Pepper, Chillies fills the air. The visitors are taken on a tour of the garden where the guides explain about the type of spices, their uses and medicinal value of each.These Spice plantations practice organic farming. They also grow fruits like Cashew, Banana, Pineapple.

Afternoon lunch is served in earthen pots on banana leaves. It comprises of a traditional meal like rice, fish curry and locally grown vegetables. Fruits are served for dessert. Guests are given a demonstration on the art of climbing and swinging the Betel nut palms. Also traditional folk dances are performed. Since most farms are near the lakeside, guests can indulge in fishing or boating or birdwatching. Cashew nut processing and vanilla processing are carried. An added attraction is the Elephant washing and the elephant rides. The Highlights of these places are the varied spices and the organic farming.
