The Devkikrishna temple lies in Marcela about 17 kms. from Panaji. The unique feature of this temple is that lord Krishna is worshipped alongside mother Devaki as Devakikrishna. To avoid the Portuguese Inquisition they were taken to Mayem and then shifted to the present location at Marcela. The inner sanctum of this temple has a beautiful idol of Devaki and Lord Krishna. The idol of Devaki is in standing posture with a child Krishna, between her legs. The idols are beautifully carved in black stone.

The main deities were originally located at Choodamani island (Chorao island of today).The main festival is Malni Purnima which is celebrated over here with great devotion. The palakhi is taken in Shukla and Trayodashi. Ramanavmi, Gokulastami are celebrated on a grand scale. Dress and decorum must be maintained when entering the temple.
