Velsao is a large sandy beach located to the close to the village of Cansaulim. The beach is famous for its large stretches of silver soft sands and picturesque sunsets. The shoreline of the beach is dotted with numerous palm trees. Velsao beach is located about 26 kms. from Panaji and 14 kms. from Margao.
The beach has plenty of shacks and beachside restaurants that serve great food. In terms of accommodation the choices are pretty limited. However the nearby areas of Betalbatim, Arossim and Colva have many options that one could choose from.
