Agonda beach is a large beach located in Canacona at a distance of 35 kms. from Margao. The beach has palm trees and Casuarina pines along it's shores. The southern end of the beach is dominated by a hillock that offers a breathtaking view. The Agonda beach road is lined up with restaurants and shops selling souvenirs, clothes, beach wear and refreshments. The road runs parallel to the beach for a kilometer or so.
The beach has plenty of shacks serving mouth watering dishes. During the month of September the beach serves as a nesting ground for olive Ridley turtles.
